The Negotiator (1998) is currently on Netflix in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, and Czechia, making it available in roughly a dozen of the 73 tracked regions where it appears. While those countries still have it, the title was recently removed in Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and Zambia, so those regions now need another outlet. Where it is not on Netflix, viewers can turn to alternatives: in the United Kingdom, it streams on Disney Plus; in Canada, it is on Disney Plus and Hollywood Suite; and in Germany, Disney Plus also carries it. No other platforms are listed for the remaining tracked territories. With no imminent departure announced for the active Netflix regions, subscribers in those twelve countries can continue accessing this action crime film, though availability outside those areas often points to Disney’s ecosystem as the primary backup option.

Availability is re-verified daily against licensed streaming data.

The police try to arrest expert hostage negotiator Danny Roman, who insists he's being framed for his partner's murder in what he believes is an elaborate conspiracy. Thinking there's evidence in the Internal Affairs offices that might clear him, he takes everyone in the office hostage and demands that another well-known negotiator be brought in to handle the situation and secretly investigate the conspiracy.
